Arch._, 1857, considers it “une circonstance bizarre” that Osiris is several times included among his ‘_Djadjou_.’ The _bizarrerie_ is easily explained by parallel expressions known to every Greek scholar, οἱ ἀμφὶ Πεισίστρατον in Herodotus means _Pisistratus with his troops_, and in Thucydides, οἱ περι Θρασυβουλον means _Thrasybulus with his soldiers_. In the Iliad (3, 146) οἱ ἀμφὶ Πρίαμον is explained by the Scholiast as meaning _Priam himself_: τοῦτ ἐστιν, ὁ Πρίαμος.
